Bankruptcy is federal law, therefore your case will be filed in one of the four federal court locations in Minnesota. These are St. Paul, Minneapolis, Duluth and Fergus Falls. Each county in Minnesota falls into one of these four court locations. For example, if you live in Hennepin County your filing location is Minneapolis. Although attending hearings (besides your 341 hearing) is not that common in chapter 13 or chapter 7 cases, if you do need to attend a hearing, it will be at the Federal Courthouse for St. Paul, Minneapolis, Duluth or Fergus Falls.
