Of course, you would always prefer to get rid of the debt, tax free, forever! The vast majority of our guests lose NO ASSETS when they file Chapter 7 Bankruptcy too. The few guests that surrender nonexempt assets surrender such a modest amount in comparison to the size of the debt that is being discharged.
