William P. Kain
In 1983, I took my first bankruptcy case. Since then, I have been able to help thousands of clients become debt-free. As our practice grows, one thing never changes: helping our clients achieve financial freedom, as well as the peace of mind that being solvent can provide, is our primary goal and greatest pleasure.
Each client is treated with the kindness, compassion, and dedication that I was taught growing up as a young child in St. Cloud, Minnesota, by my two wonderful parents. My parents made many sacrifices and, through them, I was able to graduate from both Saint John’s University and the University of Minnesota Law School.

Wesley W. Scott
As a child of a working-class family of nine children, I’m no stranger to tough financial times. It wasn’t easy working two jobs to pay for my education at both St. Cloud State University and William Mitchell College of Law. To make matters worse, once I graduated, I was faced with massive student loan payments, furthering my financial worries.
I personally understand that debt happens to good people: divorce, job termination, illness, business failure, or just plain bad financial decisions can haunt you for the rest of your life, and severely limit your options and opportunities in the future. My passion for being a lawyer began as a child growing up in the Twin Cities. My parents encouraged me to pursue my goal of becoming an attorney and, with their guidance and influence, I was able to graduate from both the University of Minnesota Twin Cities and Hamline University School of Law.
Today, I am more passionate than ever about helping our clients better their lives through our comprehensive debt resolution program. My involvement with the Excelsior - Lake Minnetonka Chamber of Commerce, Open Hands Foundation, and VANTAGE Advanced Professional Studies program at Minnetonka High School has allowed me to combine my legal experience with my dedication to improving the lives of Minnesota residents.

When my clients come to me with their financial difficulties, I am reminded of my own family’s struggles with money during my childhood. The financial rollercoaster that my parents were on took a heavy toll on them, but, they always ensured that my sister and I were sheltered from the storm. I was able to embrace that work ethic and determination for betterment, and use it to graduate from both Doane College and Creighton University School of Law.
My family’s hardships allowed me to develop a keen sense of both compassion and duty. To that end, I have proudly served in the Air Force Reserve for the past five years.
