The city is full of people engaging in outdoor activities such as boating, swimming, jogging, and playing in the park. However, one of the best things about the summertime in St. Paul is the sports.

Soccer aficionados can be found cheering on the Minnesota United professional soccer club, whose nickname is the “Loons,” down at Allianz Stadium. It’s not uncommon to find friends having a friendly competition of basketball or tennis on the court. Students of all grade levels can be found playing outdoor sports such as lacrosse, soccer, and baseball. Speaking of baseball, one of the greatest things about summer in Saint Paul, is the Saint Paul Saints minor league baseball team.

One of the best ways a person can pass the time on a gorgeous summer day in the city is to watch the Saints play at CHS Stadium in downtown Saint Paul. The tickets are very affordable, there is a plethora of delicious food options at the stadium, and there are also some very refreshing options for adult beverages available (so I’ve heard).  Kicking back and watching my hometown team compete for triple-A minor league glory is simultaneously both relaxing and exhilarating.  I guess, that’s why they call baseball “America’s favorite pastime.”

Bankruptcy is a lot like baseball. Every season, every game, and every at bat is a brand new opportunity for success.  A team with a losing record in the previous record can shine the next season and a player who struck out their last time at the plate can hit a homerun. The past doesn’t matter. Only the present and future matters. In the same way, bankruptcy gives people a new opportunity to have a fresh start and to have newfound success.
