bankruptcy_timelineWhen you first realize the boulder coming down the hill is going to run you over. I cannot tell you how many times I have heard clients say, “I just wished I had not waited so long to file.” Personally, I think human beings are far too rough on themselves. We wait far too long before we reach out for help. I think our pride and our vanity gets in the way of taking medicine we often need to take to cure the illness faster. After all, when your finances are sick, isn’t that what you are supposed to do? Find the medicine to cure the ailment and take it? That way, you can move on faster with your life.

My heart goes out to people who wait far too long before they reach out for help. Life is precious. Waiting months and years to resolve a financial problem is not healthy for anyone. So, if a debt problem is consuming all your money and causing your too worry about it, now is the time to file Chapter 7 Bankruptcy and move on with your life.

Do not have the single biggest regret most clients’ have--- waiting far too long to file bankruptcy thinking you have got this. You do not have this and living like you must to pay off a sizeable debt is simply not feasible. Inevitably, things come up that break your planned intentions of paying back sizeable debt. It could be a car breaking down, someone getting sick, or a decrease in income, even if temporary. Life is humbling for us all.  Bad things happen to good people.
