Hiring MN Bankruptcy LawyersDon’t settle for less than the best bankruptcy law firm in Minnesota. I am sad when I see clients calling us frustrated because they cannot get a hold of the bankruptcy lawyer they hired. The conversations always go something like this: Client says, “can you help me? I have a problem and I have called my bankruptcy lawyer and she/he will not return my call.” I feel terrible for these people. And the call always puts Kain & Scott in an awkward position. I mean yes, we want to help, always! But, your lawyer is still your lawyer and the person who understands the case the best. So we often say, “look, we are so sorry you are going through this…but we think you should connect with your lawyer and see if you can’t smoke the peace pipe.”

Dejected, the client goes off and sometimes we don’t hear back from them. Other times, we do. If they call us back, we need them to approve Kain & Scott taking over their case and substituting their other lawyer for us. It is a messy process but it can be done if necessary. And sometimes, it IS necessary.

If you would rather this not happen to you, and you should not, please spend a few minutes researching bankruptcy lawyers. Read as many Google reviews as you possible can. Research what their employees have to say on websites like www.glassdoor.com.  Check reviews on other websites too. If you read a consistent string of negative reviews (especially if there is no response from the law firm or the law firm always denies knowing the poster), be suspicious. Don’t be afraid to also check the Better Business Bureau website too. See if there are any complaint against the law firm and how the law firm “resolved” the complaints and whether that was satisfactory to the client.
